Richard qualified at University College Hospital, London in 1983 and was awarded LDS by the Royal College of Surgeons in 1984.
He opened a practice in East Street in Braunton in 1987 before moving it to it’s current location and re-opening as Riverside Dental Practice in 1995. He sold the practice to Chris Preston in 2006 but has remained as part of the team since then, helping to cement the reputation we have for providing high quality, patient focussed dentistry in a friendly environment.
Richard spent over a decade as a Foundation Dental trainer, mentoring newly qualified dentists in partnership with the University of Bristol Postgraduate Dept. He holds a Certificate in Practice Appraisal and spent ten years as a Denplan Practice Advisor, inspecting and awarding the Denplan Excel certificate to Practices all over the South West. Richard is also a qualified Facial Aesthetics practitioner, able to provide Botox and Dermal Filler to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
Richard has many years’ experience in all aspects of both General and Cosmetic Dentistry and aims to provide sympathetic, patient focussed treatment where the wishes of his patients are paramount.
